DR. KATHERINE K. SMITH
Artist and Educator
As a painter, I believe in the aesthetic experience invoked by an artist’s interpretation of everyday objects that have been imbued with narrative memories. Our lives are read and interpreted through these narratives. It is the familiar objects in our own environment that connect our past to our present. It is the artist’s interpretation of those objects that breathes life into those memories.
Please enjoy my artwork and my students' artwork created over many years.
